Dumas and Ararat

Tuesday I brought home two brothers from the Hermitage Cat Shelter. A scratchboard drawing of them appears in this post:

They are eight years old and very closely bonded to each other. They’ve been exploring the house and using an amazing range of calls and chirps to keep track of each other. Dumas (on the left in the drawing) is big and rather shaggy for a shorthair. He has huge glowing green eyes. Ararat is lithe and sleek, with a tiny triangular face and sparkling gold eyes. They are a bit shy but are very gentle and love to be petted.
