Full Moon – Two Black Cats

November 12, 2008

For the Full Moon we welcomed two new family members.  MIDNIGHT LOUIE is ten years old, huge and timid, a gentle soul with perpetually worried expression and a big purr.  REGINALD is about six, lean and graceful, with silky fur and enormous heartbreaking blue-green eyes.  He is extremely sensitive and easily frightened, and it will probably be awhile before he is able to overcome his shyness and be comfortable with us.

Beautiful friends. I’m glad they’re in a home where they’ll be Loved and appreciated.

Oooh, more Ebonaires. What will the poor Orange Tones do? They’re roundly outnumbered now. Reginald and Midnight Louie are just beautiful.

  4. I love black cats, I had one when young named Napoleon and a great cat named Arthur when I was first married. These two look lovely and it’s neat that Beluga already knows Reginald. Reg, or the Regster or perhaps Regilot (word play on Camelot ) You can be like Mad Magazine and paraphrase the lyrics to the song “Camelot”.

    In Regilot.
    Regilot! Regilot!
I know it sounds a bit bizarre,
    But in Regilot, Regilot
    That’s how conditions are
The cats are black till after sundown
By eight, their liquid shadows must disappear
In short, they slink off for a nap
A more congenial spot cannot be found
For shedding soft black hair than someone’s lap
    In Regilot.

I am pleased to see your playing card deck with the black cats. I have about 50 playing cards in my collection and like to read with them and do daily draws. I will look forward to this further paw print of imagination from you.

Regilot, la la la la la la la la
